Smartphones What’s the craze all about?

If you have not heard of smartphones, we would like to know where you been hiding all this time. Smartphones have been throughout the news and chances are you know what they are – only you know under another name. Smartphones are mobile phones with similar capabilities.
What is it? Aha! Yes, you’ve not only heard about them, you have probably seen as well. Packed with Internet access, email capabilities, address books and much more, mobile phones have come a long way since their first appearance. But be careful not to be confused with those sandbox toys devices.
Sandbox devices are tools that are pre-loaded with things like calendars, calculators, and a notebook. What differentiates them from smartphones is that users can add (download and install) additional programs to smartphones, and they seem to be a mini-laptops for people who use them. – And the ability to edit content to sit on them – is what makes these phones “smart.”
Some of the most popular brand names include the Blackberry, Palm Source, Nokia and Windows CE. But mania is able to extend corporate brand names. Today it is difficult to find a phone that does not offer a “smart” technology because it is in such demand. Convenience of having information at our immediate access is phenomenal – so much that thousands of programmers have jumped on the opportunity to build applications specific to these small machines.
So you can find lots of games, databases, systems, AMP, applications for weather observations, and even small encyclopedias on these things – the individual is not available with the click of a mouse – but a couple of press freedom a thumb. Of course a mini keyboard is available for text messages or fan for the poor guy who does not seem to get out of the office. In the latter case, do not be surprised if you find all the Microsoft Office suite displays a screen no bigger than a fight.
Is it a phase? It is highly doubtful. The market for these systems ranges from the highly technical and professional all the way to pre-teen socialitet. The product crosses all demographics and with lower costs – economic, he saw no bounds. Wikipedia encyclopedia says that “of 1 billion camera phones to be delivered in 2008, smartphones, the upper end of the market with full email support, represent about 10% of the market, or around 100 million units.”
But what makes it so attractive smartphones? As mentioned, smartphones give us the ability to not only carry our data with us when we go, we can also change your data anywhere – anytime. In “reality”-based generation, we are always looking for an opportunity to capture and relive a moment. And we want to share this moment with others. At best, smart phones allow us to express ourselves improvised with entertaining results.
Trying to do the same with a large desktop computer or laptop is heavy. Even some of the smallest devices (cameras, digital cameras, etc.) do not give us the same opportunities, smart phones. Being able to wear a communication device, creating, recording and editing simply compliments the need for today’s generation to do more, and then make it faster!
